Proud Galleries, Camden, London Cost: £5 www.myspace.com/theunwell Address: The Gin House, Chalk Farm Road, Camden London, NW1 8AH Arena of the Unwell is a new music and spoken word performance event being held monthly at the Proud Gallery in Camden. Featuring an eclectic range of bands and poets it's part of the regular Wednesday Art@Proud event where one ticket lets you flit like a cultural butterfly between theatre, comedy, music, and poetry performed simultaneously in three rooms. The evening kicks off at 20.00 but the bar is open from lunch time for those who want to get comfortable. |

The Courthouse, Otley, Leeds Cost: £not sure but not much! www.courthouseproject.org.uk We're supporting "Lau" at Otley's excellent venue, the Courthouse. The acoustics are wonderful, we love playing there. Lau are a formidable trio of three of the finest and most innovative exponents of modern traditional music in Scotland today. OK, I lifted that from their website, www.lau-music.co.uk, but it's true. They're awesome. And their fiddle player has just won an award for his outstanding fiddling capabilities... This will definitely be an excellent gig with fantastic music throughout. Please come if you're around. Thanks for The Courthouse for snapping us up having seen us at the Otley Folk Festival for this one. |

The Swan, Addingham, Near Leeds Cost: £not sure but definitely worth it. www.swan-addingham.co.uk Address: 106 Main Street, Addingham, Ilkley, W. Yorkshire LS29 0NS A real pub with fantastic beer, which plays host to many a folky gig. This was arranged during a totally impromtu sing song with Nick Hall and friends at the said pub, which was great fun. Bound to be a fantastic night.
